Europe’s equity rally may be showing its age

The potential for further equity market outperformance in Europe and the United Kingdom appears to be waning, now that those markets have responded positively to resurgent earnings growth and fundamental economic improvement, says Boston Partners’ Portfolio Manager Christopher K. Hart, CFA. With less potential upside in those markets, Japanese equities and emerging-market stocks appear to present a larger number of attractive opportunities for bottom-up stock selection.
